Greetings to all of you! My name is Nari Ramnani and I am the President of the Indian Sindhi Association of Madrid (ISAOM). Our closely knit Sindhi community in Madrid gives me tremendous pride, immense strength and great honor to work with such zeal as the President of the community.
At ISAOM, our aim is to provide a common identity to the Sindhi community and facilitate cultural, social and educational services and opportunities for cultural integration for people of all ages. Our ultimate goal is to promote sindhi culture in our present and future generations.
The Indian Sindhi Association of Madrid (ISAOM) operates in Madrid with the following objectives:
- To provide a common identity to the Indian Sindhi community through the promotion of unity, friendship and goodwill based on mutual understanding and cooperation.
- To provide community services within the limits of the Association resources for our members.
- To promote and provide social, educational and cultural programs which will enable children of Sindhi heritage to understand the Sindhi traditions.
- To establish a community center for social, educational and cultural activities for all our members.
- To encourage and foster the activities which promote mutual understanding and appreciation between the Sindhi community and the mainstream Spanish community.
Today, I am grateful for one of the greatest assets of our community and that is our ISAOM CULTURAL CENTRE. It truly has been a dream come true for our Sindhi Residents who worked extremely hard to make this a reality. Nonetheless, with the blessings and love of late Dada J.P.Vaswani, who so graciously attended our official inauguration on the 5th of April 2009, our cultural centre closely unifies our community where all our events take place with such positive energy. It was a great opportunity to seek Dada’s divine blessings and bask in the sunshine of his peace, love and joy. Dada left the audiences totally mesmerized with his pearls of wisdom and he will truly be cherished forever. Million thanks to the committee and the volunteers who ensured the smooth functioning of the inaugural event.
